About Stainless Steel Gas Springs 316L
Stainless steel gas compression springs provide controlled assistance for lifting, lowering and balancing loads in applications that require greater corrosion resistance.
A typical spring contains a pressure cylinder, piston, piston rod, seals, nitrogen and a small amount of oil for lubrication and damping.
Extension speed, damping length and force progression can be specified for the application within the limits of the selected spring size.
Where end-of-stroke damping is required, rod-down mounting is generally recommended. Confirm the material grade, orientation and mounting geometry for the application.
Available 316L stainless steel sizes include 6/15 mm, 8/19 mm, 8/23 mm, 10/23 mm, 10/28 mm and 14/28 mm.
